Great new location in Uptown Normal with plenty of indoor and great outdoor seating. The peach and apple cider drinks were awesome, highly recommend them both. We also had the Italian beef grilled cheese which was good just smaller than anticipated, and the beer cheese nachos with grilled chicken. The nachos were good just not quite as we expected. Overall really like the atmosphere of the new place and will try some other drinks and food items next time.

Fiala Brothers Brewery is a pretty new establishment in downtown Normal by the conference center and campus. The food is grilled cheese, sandwiches, soup, etc. It was all pretty tasty. Their beer was decent with a fair variety. I am going to be back in town on another trip soon and plan to stop in again. Update: Stopped again. There upstairs area and patio are great. They still are maintaining 6 of there own beers with a solid guest list for 20 total beers, 2 ciders, a seltzer and a mead. Apparently these guys love Malort whiskey for some unknown reason but i won't hold that against them. Service was friendly and imagine I will be back.

Great addition to Uptown! They carry beer from various breweries and will have their own soon. We had the tomato soup, potato salad, portobello grilled cheese, and the caprese grilled cheese. The sandwiches were nice and toasty! They are not a full sandwich size as I had thought they would be. The potato salad was very good but does tend to be a little sweet. There's plenty of spots to enjoy a drink with friends and the balcony view is a refreshing experience!

Love this place! They are amazing and have great customer service. Their new expanded menu is amazing as well. We will keep coming back as long as they’re here.

If you're looking for good beer and a quick bite, this is a fabulous option in Uptown Normal near campus and the roundabout. If you like your Grilled Cheese a bit more grown up, you'll love this. The Philly, Portabello and Chicken Bacon Ranch were a hit with our group. And they also have a few side dish options, too. Including the ever-important and flavorful tomato soup. A few important things to know so you can have the best experience, because it's not your normal restaurant setup: 1. No servers, you order from a kiosk on the first floor next to the bar OR you can order from your phone. You pay with a card. Take a look at the menu before you arrive so you can spend your time in conversation with friends rather than making decisions at the kiosk :-) 2. They brew their own beer! And they have other fabulousness on tap. You do NOT order beer from the kiosk. Go up to a bartender and order. Open a tab or pay as you go. But most importantly be cool, be nice, tip well :-) They know beer so ask for guidance and recommendations if you need it! 3. This place is 3 floors, but there is an elevator if anyone needs it. Order on the first floor, food & beer. Pick up food on the second floor when it's ready (they text you). Enjoy food and beer on the 1st or 3rd floor, either indoors or out on the patio. There is also a bar on the 3rd floor, and dart boards! 4. Some reviewers have said the Grilled Cheese is more like a half sandwich. It's a BIG half sandwich in our opinion, and with a side dish it's the perfect amount of food. And again food is ready quick so if you're still hungry, go up to a kiosk, order something else and keep eating :-) 5. The beer cheese has a little bite to it and the beer taste is definitely present so if you're a beer lover, you'll love this. If you've got anyone with you who likes cheese but not beer, it's probably not their jam. In which case order a side of something else too so they don't feel left out, because you're a good friend like that. I love it when new locally owned awesomeness makes Bloomington-Normal their home, and Fiala Brothers is a great addition.

Food is really good. Beer is good and nice selection of guest taps. Wish they allowed reservations for the upstairs. We had a large group and it was difficult to find space together.

Best bar in Uptown by FAR. The staff is so fun and always nice. The deals are great. The atmosphere is clean and open, and their grilled cheeses are FIRE 🔥. I will be spending the majority of my paychecks here for sure!

We had the pretzel which was fresh and hot, a bit too much seasoning for me otherwise lovely. The mustard was strong for my taste but the cheese was good. And we ordered the chicken bites I believe. They did not seem as fresh. They were soggy and mushy rather than hot and crispy. They were alright. The pretzel was good. The environment was nice, though I wasn't expecting to see children but the bar pricing was fair.
